Poul,

It was agreed at the UKWA committee meeting on Saturday that members of overseas NCA's should have access to the members only section of the UK Website. Bob Harland may therefore make an occasional request to check that a subscriber is a current member of the relevant NCA.

Best wishes, Ralph

Thanks, Ralph. I will post this info in the Weekly Whiffle. If Bob H. wants to save some time/effort, I keep a pretty well up-to-date list of current CWA members on our web site. So, if someone asks, check that page, and if the person is not on it, sic him/her on Kit Wallace, our trusty Membership guru, to get the matter resolved.

Must rush, Midwinters photo editing calls!

Dick,

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this year as we are leaving for France at the end of May, but I will read with interest the reports that will follow. Please keep me on the list for next year.

Monique and I will obviously be attending the rally in August, as planned.

Bons vents,

We will miss you and Roger as we go wild in the renowned Smith and Tangier night life, André!!

It'll be great, however, to see you at the Rally. It's been a while!!

Take care,

Hello Al,  Hope all is well with you, after I talked to Julia the other day our minds were put at ease and we hope that nothing serious is the matter. In regard to Kit Wallace's article in the Weekly Whiffle, I wholeheartedly agree with his views. I for one have not written a lot about the improvements in design of our boat, but if they are made to make the boat more interesting to younger sailors I am all for it.

Hi Trudy,

It's nice to hear from you again. I hope things are well with you.

I think I can speak for the CWA in our willingness to extend Don's honorary status to you. Don't worry about getting a copy of the 2007 yearbook - you are already on the list to receive one. Al has produced it in DVD format this year, so you should be able to see the pictures on your TV screen now...

Best wishes,

Kit Wallace

And a very hearty amen to that!! All except the pics on the TV screen - don't know how/if that will work. My abilities ran only so far as to make the whole thing work like a big internal web site to be viewed on a computer without going on line.

Best regards to all,

Hi Al,

I have 2 mains and 3 jibs available if someone is looking for some Wayfarer cruising sails (see attached).  Can you post this on the website for me?
If someone is interested I can show them the sails if they are in the Toronto area. I will take offers.

Cheers and Thanks!

You probably have been to www.rahn.ca before.  But, just in case you have not, check out his rebuild of the boat that he took to the Midwinters recently.

Thanks, Gary. I never realized that Peter had so much other good stuff at his site. This gives the many of us who know Peter a chance to catch up with what he's been doing - especially in his Shark.

See you at the Cruise!! Best regards,

Hi, Dave:

Perfect timing for the WW that I am just about to post. Your lovely Perth report on pages 4 and 5 of the Soundings is the perfect antidote to this Oakville morning of freezing rain. And the fine Nationals promo by you and Ross Jamieson serves as an enjoyable reminder to me that I have promised to update the photos in our own promo on the Whiffle Web. I hope to do that later today.

Best regards,

Uncle Al  (W3854)

PS: My congratulations to your - regrettably anonymous - editor on a fine newsletter!!

Rick Andrews is the Soundings Editor.

The W promo should have said the Trout Lake event was on Monday the 30th.

We went skiing this morning and it is just starting to snow.  However, rain is expected later today and tonight – not needed and not wanted.  Our ski trails and hills are in perfect condition.
