Notice International
Rally and NA rally August
9 -16, 2008 Note: A group of 14
choice campsites are being held by Hermit Island Campground for the
rally. Coordination for reserving these sites is
being handled exclusively by Dick Harrington through the campground
manager. The required reservation dates are for
the complete week of August 9th – 16th. However,
reservation dates can be changed at a later time by following the
normal campground procedure. If you wish
to add more days to your stay please indicate this on your Registration Form.
All
persons wishing to reserve one of these campsites must submit a
completed registration form
no later than the November
30th
deadline. You
will receive an
electronic copy of the reservation letter in December. The
campground manager will then bill you directly at your
mailing address some time in January or February.
Applications received
after November 30th will not be able to take advantage of our group
booking of
choice sites because we will "return" any unclaimed sites to the
manager at that time. Note to European
participants: You will be
assigned a campsite by the rally organizers. You
will not be billed by the campground. Payment
will be due to Dick Harrington upon arrival or before. "Buddies" to
European participants: Each European
team attending the Rally will need a "buddy". Due to this year's rather
remote location, buddies will not be expected to assist with
transportation to or from
If you are willing to be a "buddy", please indicate this fact on your Registration Form. Please complete
the Registration Form by
typing the required information at the ‘X*’ (black type please). This
constitutes your registration for the rally and, if received on
or before November 30th, your
registration for a campsite at Dick Harrington 216-481-3183 e-mail: rmharrington@sbcglobal.net |

Preparation and Safety: All skippers and
helmsmen will be required to sign the following
declaration: I am satisfied that the
buoyancy within my boat meets the required standard for a Wayfarer
buoyancy certificate. Further, I have
checked, and am satisfied that the boat and all its fittings are
seaworthy. My crew and I will be sailing
with adequate weatherproof clothing and personal buoyancy.
I will be fully insured to cover damage to other craft and
personal liability. Whilst I appreciate
that every effort will be made to ensure everyone’s safety, I
understand that ultimately, I alone am responsible for deciding whether
or not my abilities are sufficient to allow me to go or stay out on the
water at any given time during this rally. In
matters of safety, I will err on the side of caution, and I recognize
that I will be sailing entirely at my own risk. |
