Brian and Tristan will be doing a session on sail design, why sails are designed in specific ways, explain sail cloths, sail weights and the benefits of each, how to tell when to get new sails and how to clean your sails.
March 5 Weather Forecasting

Ron will be doing a session on Weather Forecasting, understanding what the near term weather is going to be and what the weather patterns are going to bring.
March 19 VHF Radio Course
Graeme Price of the Sea Cadets
Training and a test for your VHF Radio License.

April 16 Spinnakers
Peter Epstein and Peter Reed of Fogh Marine
Setting up your spinnaker, deciding what hardware and lines you need for your spinnaker, raising and dousing your spinnaker and sailing your spinnaker. Time will also be spent on fibreglass repairs.
May 7 Sail Trim and Committee Boat Operation
Dave Daniel will do a session on sail adjustment. See the effects and understand what pulling on the different lines does to your boat performance.
A session on operation of the Committee Boat and setting a race course will follow.
