folks: If
you thought wind was good in
Parry Sound in August, it is 'better' in
September. We are piggy-backing onto a
preferred date for the Albacores for this
two-fleet, three day regatta. There
is a process for awarding average race scores for
those boats that cannot
attend the Friday races so don't let that deter
you from registering. The
NOR is now available here.
The registration
process is more streamlined this time with
payment, waiver, etc. all done
online at the Checklick link found in the NOR.
One aspect
that may be unexpected is that all skippers and
crew must register separately. All
the details can be found in the NOR. We
have an early bird deadline of June
30th
so be careful to not dismiss this until later in
the summer,
and save $20. Early registration also helps us
negotiate with the Trestle
Brewing Company for a potential Saturday meal
there as well as other
logistics. It was unanimously agreed
in the winter,
especially after the cancellation of the North Bay
Wayfarer Weekend last year,
that we all need to do a better job of letting
host clubs know if we are
planning to attend an event. Please follow through
with that idea this sailing
season. We
