| Lucky Al (3854)!!! A starboard
knock did indeed come through. Both he and John (7351) have of course
tacked on that knock and are now lifted on port. This is not good news
for Dwight who went right!! ... |

With the Terrace Suites, Al and Julia's home
for this weekend, as a backdrop, most of the fleet nears the leeward
mark and the start of the final short beat to the finish. With the left
side looking attractive to them, Al and Marc (3854) decided to tack
early, rather than wait for Dwight to tack and then risk having to sail
through the mess of downwind boats - their wakes and their wind shadows
- if Dwight timed his tack right. Here they are about to tack, now that
the main mess has passed.
