Ryan Mabie was DFL (as my
Junior sailors used to say) among the Sunfish. This was a "series" in
which anyone could have finished last, what with the one race we did
complete having been rather flukey. Indeed, there was a consolation
prize for each last-place boat: a lovely Yachtwurst.

In their first year of sailing
Wayfarer, Gary and Stephanie Hirsch of St. Joseph, MI, have been
cruising.
...But this weekend, they decided to give racing a try and scored an impressive 2nd among the five W's. |
