Sue and Steph show how it's done. Not only do they get the most out of their negligible hiking weight, but Sue has also eased enough main to remove any excessive heel > helm. Proof of that is in the straight tiller (not pulled to windward!) and smooth water flow off the rudder.

Another lesson in how it's done: Dave and Carol hike hard and are keeping heel to where it does not produce excessive helm.

Al and Ken (r) hit a knocked gust, while Al (Uncle) could use a bit more vang here. The 3854 tiller is angled to windward
but SHADES is not fighting the turn to leeward as can be seen by the smooth water flow past the rudder.

Taylor and Ryan look great as they pace Sue and Steph (Mystic).

More vang wouldn't hurt here. Of course, on this club boat, vang adjustment capability is not state of the art!!

No such problems on Banshee!

Pacing each other nicely are (l to r) Mark, Uncle Al and Ross.

Dave R, for example, is getting lifted out above Andrew (3140).

Frank (l) gets a juicy lift and will cross Sue for whom going right early has not paid all that much.
Meanwhile (l to r) Dave H, Dave R and Uncle Al are all digging back in towards the safety of the rhumb line.

John (r) has tacked into a nice lift and crosses while he can. Looks like he may well be laying the windward mark right now.

Mark and Paul have rounded onto the first reach, along the south shore, with a nice lead. Their spinnaker is about to ...

... go up flawlessly. Here, going down with the puffs is especially recommended as it gets Mark away from the wind shadow of the shore.
