CWA memberships now available for 2008!
The Canadian Wayfarer Association pays a number of expenses in maintaining this Whiffle web site. As so much is available on the web site for free, some sailors appear to feel there is no longer a need to join the CWA. We desperately want to maintain our long-standing tradition of helping our fellow Wayfarers. However, to keep on doing this, we need your support in the form of membership dues.
Your CWA membership funds
  • the Whiffle web site at www.wayfarer-canada.org which brings you up-to-date Wayfarer information of interest to cruisers, racers and day sailors while keeping you in touch with fellow sailors in North America and Europe
  • our annual Events Whiffle newsletter
  • a yearbook CD or DVD which goes to all members
  • a library of logs and videos on tuning and racing the boat which can be borrowed by members.

Most importantly, the CWA offers Wayfarer owners an opportunity to socialize and sail in many events throughout the year, ranging from club regattas to racing championships to cruising weekends. Last but not least, a strong, healthy Association is helping to maintain the value of your boat by offering a lively re-sale market and by ensuring that the Class does not become stagnant.

We encourage new owners of Wayfarers to join us by offering them a free one-year membership. 
There are two types of memberships available: Canadian Wayfarer owners are eligible for full membership, all others get associate memberships. Both full and associate e-memberships in the CWA are now available for $25  (instead of the regular $40) for those willing to do without any of our postal mailings. This $25.00 e-membership includes all regular privileges such as:
  • eligibility to race in Canadian-based W events
  • receiving Whiffle newsletters, if any, by e-mail
  • E-members will get postal mailing of the annual CD yearbook, but are encouraged to pick it up in person (or have it picked up) at our AGM on Sat 19 Jan at TSCC.
