Heading back to the
campground for a lazy afternoon, Julia and I felt we just had to
capture this view.
We had, after all, spent so much of this week following the Jordans'
van. We probably should have used only one vehicle but the van was also
Chuck and Ginny's bedroom, and the back of our Golf was so crammed with
stuff that we all agreed it would be simpler to take two cars.

| Today we would have a look
at the north end of the island and its four beaches, starting with ... ... |
| ... Sand Dollar Beach. ... |
| Even on this hot afternoon,
the water was still quite cold and few people made it in any further
than this. ... |
| Al climbed the rocks at the
east end of the beach, and was rewarded with this fine view of the
boats inside Flat Head. ... |
| Plus, I got a candid of
Ginny
(reading) and Julia relaxing in the warm sun (while Chuck napped in the
van!). ... |
| From the rocks at the west
end, you could see two more beaches: Bounty Cove, and Sailboat Beach
beyond that. ... |
| We think that this was "The
Pound" - the inlet behind the marina. ... |
| Not so wild life on Spring
Beach where ... ... |
| ... we ran across more ... ... |
| ... Wayfarers, enjoying the
sun. ... |
| Dick was already dreaming
and making plans for another week-long Rally in 2006. |
