Greetings.  I would love a Wayfarer in any construction.  I hope to do some cruising/camping, so the sails and rigging need not be race-ready, but should be solid.  I am happy to do some cleaning/maintenance and minor repair if the boat has life in it.  Let me know what you have.

Wayfarer wanted in Calgary, Alberta

Subject: Looking for a Wayfarer or CL-16

Having just sold my DS-16, I am in the market for a Wayfarer or CL-16. We recently purchased a lakefront property and found out that the shorline does not allow for launching from a trailer. A dolly may work and hand launcing should be OK. Hence, the 700 lb DS wouldn't cut it.

We are located in Calgary, AB and would prefer something close by. What should I look for in a used Wayfarer? I understand that there are both wood and composite versions. I'd prefer something newer, so I gues that meens composite. I'd prefer something ready to sail, but I'm not opposed to some light restoration work (I'm fairly mechanically inclined having built an aiplane from scratch).

Thanks,

Ken

Subject: Wayfarers needed

Al,  We are looking for two-three Wayfarer's for this spring.  Our plan is to sell 2-3 of our club fleet to members and buy new /used boats for the sailing school.  Our plan is to roll the fleet over every two year and build up a fleet of member owned boats.

Thanks for your help.
