In dying winds, we were all off south: Al (white track) still searching for the Blooms' marina, the others to La Pointe ........

Meanwhile, aboard SHADES, we meandered down the shore in relaxed style, trying to find the Apostle Islands Marina from the water. ........

We created the ultimate cruiser's tote: undrunk beers on one side and ... ........

... VHF plus ready-for-use little john on the other!! ........

The last we saw of the rest of the gang, the wind had returned to them, and they were beating towards La Pointe, as Richard and I ... ........

... anchored off a lovely little beach just north of the Bayfield ferry docks while we ...    - click here for larger image ........

... went ashore to do a bit of shopping and wander the shoreline in search of the Blooms' marina. ........

Mission accomplished, sort of: We found the Blooms' Savannah (to Al's left) but no one was home. ........

Richard duly checked on the whereabouts of our fleet but they had disappeared. ........

So, we headed back to SHADES and set off for La Pointe.
